Yesterday afternoon Blizzard announced that there will be no Starcraft 2 for the 2009 Christmas holiday season. The excuse is that they are spending more time improving their battle.net service and as a result the release has been pushed to first quarter of 2010. Let’s hope that they will rethink that despicable idea of not including LAN play.
“The upgraded Battle.net is an integral part of the StarCraft II experience and will be an essential part of all of our games moving forward,” Blizzard’s PR team explained. “This extra development time will be critical to help us realize our vision for the service.”
Well, at least Santa’s load has become lighter!
