A lot of buzz has been circulating around Sony lately. With the PS3 Slim being announced this week after its absence at E3, a slew of many new products and features are being shown by Sony at GamesCom in Cologne this week.
The PS3 Slim is the biggest highlight of the week; while sporting a slimmer and lighter appearance, it contains a 120 gig hard-disk and uses even less power than it’s larger counterpart. Available from the 1st of September, it will be priced around 299 euros, while the original PS3 will also retail around 299 euros after it’s announced price drop.
New PSP colours were also unveiled, including lilac purple and turquoise green. The new coloured PSP’s will be bundled with certain games, such as LittleBigPlanet PSP or sold separately.
PSP users will also have access to the new Digital Reader Service, whereby a huge library of digital comics will be available for download, including the biggest names from the Marvel and IDW.
The new Playstation Network Video Delivery Service will provide users the opportunity to download the latest movies straight to their PS3 hard-drives or to their PSP’s for on-the-go entertainment.
Playstation and Sony fans should rejoice for these new features that will be hitting our shores within the coming months.
