Warren Spector (of Dues Ex fame) and Junction Point Studios have slipped details of their brand new Disney game entitled Epic Mickey, which is set to hit the Wii in 2010.
Epic Mickey will revolve around the lesser-famous and neglected Disney rides, cartoons and characters, who have become angry with their situational and iconic differences with that of Mickey Mouse, as they now live in a dark void of broken machines and bitter personalities.
In an attempt to ‘dethrone’ the beloved Mickey and full of jealousy, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit (Walt Disney’s first creation) plots revenge by unleashing the Phantom Blot into the cartoon world of the Disney universe, draining it of colour and spreading a thick, infusing black ink.
It’s now up to Mickey to save what he holds dear. Armed with a pencil, brush, eraser and a number of other artistic tools, the iconic mouse is out to set things right by mending, repainting, erasing and creating his way through obstacles and enemies in order to restore his world to it’s rightful state.
Epic Mickey is sounding to be a great concept with artistic gameplay mechanics that are going to work wonders with the motion controlled capabilities of the Wii. Keep checking with GamesCastLive to find out more about Epic Mickey in the very near future.
