Whether you like to admit it or not appearances say a lot about an individual and looks do really count. History has shown how the good guys are the ones who are most likely to be better looking than the bad ones. Filled with evil thoughts, these unfortunate bad guys are burdened with horrific looks and the knowledge that people are conscious of their ugliness. Without hurting any ugly bad guy’s feelings, here are our top five ugliest bad guys in video games.

5. Doctor Robotnik (Sonic)

 For someone with a supposedly great mind, it’s a pity that this bad guy hasn’t used it to better dress himself and shave off his horrid looking moustache. With his oddly shaped head and that ginger moustache, he sits firmly at number 5.

4. Nemesis (Resident Evil)

 If you recall your younger days, Nemesis first scared the pants off us with his ugliness back in Resident Evil 3. After his appearance in the more recent Umbrella Chronicles, his scare factor faded, which pointed even more to the extent of this villain’s ugliness. His stapled skin and deformed face earn him a spot on our list.

3 Swampfolk (Fallout 3)

 Inbreeding is generally frowned upon by the world, and every so often games and movies will insert characters that appear to be products of this incestuous act, in order to show you what happens when your loins burn for a family member. These beefcakes can be found at Point Lookout in Fallout 3 and they’re an ugly bunch of coconuts. Due to these extremely ugly faces filled with warts, animal like voices and their childlike bodies, these suckers grab the third spot.

2. The Joker (Arkham Asylum)

 Joker fans will be shaking their heads right about now. We urge you to think a little though, because behind this character’s mysterious appeal, lies a man who enjoys wearing a meter thick layer of make-up and a purple suit. Regardless of what society says about metrosexuals, men in make up are pure ugly

1 Bowser (Super Mario Series)

Our number 1 ugly bad guy is somewhat of a mystery. It is hard to encompass what Bowser actually is. Is he a dinosaur? Is he a turtle? Nobody really knows, but this fusion between the two makes Bowser one ugly bad guy. To make things worse, one can only wonder as to where, or more importantly how, Bowser Junior arrived. Anyone seen Bowser’s spouse? She must be one fugly turtle-thing!
