With the upcoming MotoGP 2010 season, motorcycle fans are revving up with excitement to see who will top the log, or more importantly, who can overshadow Valentino “The Doctor” Rossi. To go along with all the adrenaline and anxiety in the air, Capcom and Monumental Games are bringing both the 2009 and 2010 seasons along on the ride with MotoGP 09/10. We were fortunate enough to grab some knee-scraping action with a version of MotoGP, and we liked what we saw.
Straight-away, the available game modes have been beefed-up showing some unparalleled potential to the series. In particular, the Career Mode shows off some serious depth and your performance isn’t solely based on what happens on the track, but off as well. Players will have to manage funds, fire and hire their perfect team in order to achieve complete racing bliss.
Arcade Mode throws a lot of casual appeal into the game, as well as the controls becoming a bit more flexible and easy this time around, although there is still definite learning curve.
A large amount of customization is also available, allowing players to change and tweak their rider’s appearance and bike, giving all the petrol-fueled cosmetic fantasies a life of their own. Similar to FIFA, DLC will also be available, which updates the career mode with the happenings of the actual 2010 season, which also gives a lot more authenticity to the racing.
From what seen so far, MotoGP 09/10 is set to deliver the high-octane racing that its real-life counterpart is known for. Look out for more on MotoGP 09/10 soon.
