F.E.A.R. 3 Announced

Warner Bros has announced F.E.A.R.3 for later this year. It is in development for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC by Day 1 studios and Warner Bros interactive. Day 1 are the people that actually ported the previous game to the 360 and PS3 which were originally developed by Monolith. Now Monolith hasn’t been kicked off the scene completely, owner Warner Bros obviously needs them to guide Day 1 studios in the right direction so to keep consistency with the third installment.

More importantly, F.E.A.R is all about the meaning of the intended pun the title suggests. To make the game scarier and better, Warner Bros interactive has organized to get the help of legendary horror director John Carpenter who directed Halloween, as well as Steve Niles who wrote 30 Days of Night.

The most exciting point released so far is that the game will have ‘divergent co-op’. Apparently the characters that each player chooses will have completely different abilities. These abilities will not only affect the enemy but also the co-op partner. According to Warner Bros and Day 1, the game will also feature an Evolved Cover System.

Expect to see footage and news at E3.
