Back in 1995, the Mortal Kombat film franchise kicked off with Paul W.S. Anderson’s adaption of the beloved video game franchise. After pretty decent reviews and a mediocre sequel, the Mortal Kombat series seemed to die down and a third installment was never to be heard of… until now. Rather than another sequel, an 8-minute short film entitled Mortal Kombat: Rebirth has hit the net, and portrays a much darker, grittier and more realistic than we’ve seen before.
The promo is said to be a pitch for Warner Bros, showing a taste of where the franchise could be heading. So far, we really like what we’ve seen and hope WB pay some serious attention. Check out the Mortal Kombat: Rebirth promo for yourself and let us know what you think.
