While the first game took a bit of a dive as you had to find ways to save others out of increasingly difficult puzzles. Although a really good idea for a game as it was a bit different and unusual to most, unfortunately the major criticism was that the combat system was absolutely dreadful. Chatter among E3 says this title is one of the most outstanding of the low profile games that were shown this year. Being made by Konami, the game takes place in a Demonic stricken world where you play as the only immortal to rid the land of all its evil demons. Apparently it features one of the most interesting and innovative health systems to date. You play the role of Bryce, a human immortalized by demons in a previous “shadow of evil.” Centuries... 

Sega and Platinum Games has finally put a release date on their sci-fi gears of war look-alike. It is set to be released on the 19 October for North America and on the 20th for the rest of the world for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Vanquish is a third person shooter that follows a man named Sam, who takes on robotic enemies to put an end to the energy feud between the United States and the Russians. The game looks extremely well detailed and a huge emphasis... 

Vanquish has been dubbed the ‘Japanese Gears of War’ by many, but Shinji Mikami’s (Devil May Cry, Viewtiful Joe) new title is showing it’s true colours and revealing that it has a lot more to offer. Need for speed: Hot Pursuit (2010) has been announced by EA at their E3 Press conference, which is being developed by criterion games, who are the guys behind the burnout series. The new Hot Pursuit will be available on the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and WII. Expect a North American release on 16 November and everywhere else on the 18 and 19. Back in 1995, the Mortal Kombat film franchise kicked off with Paul W.S. Anderson’s adaption of the beloved video game franchise. After pretty decent reviews and a mediocre sequel, the Mortal Kombat series seemed to die down and a third installment was never to be heard of… until now. Rather than another sequel, an 8-minute short film entitled Mortal Kombat: Rebirth has hit the net, and portrays a much darker, grittier and more realistic... 

Sony have just released a teaser trailer for Killzone 3, which is set to hit the Playstation 3 sometime next year. The trailer doesn’t give away much, but we do get to see Killzone 2’s protagonist Sev stick on a Helghast helmet. Interesting to say the least.
